火箭明星後衛「大鬍子」James Harden在15日主場迎戰國王的比賽中，上場30分鐘便拿下15分11籃板14助攻的大三元成績，同時也率火箭以132比98大勝國王。

這是Harden本季第5次大三元，同時也是生涯第14次，追平火箭傳奇球星「The Dream」Hakeem Olajuwon保有的火箭隊史紀錄。

賽後Harden表示相當榮幸能夠跟Olajuwon相提並論：「無庸置疑地他是火箭隊史最偉大的球員，也是史上最偉大的球員之一，能夠有紀錄跟他相比是件非常榮譽的事情。」

Harden並將功勞歸功於團隊：「我必須感謝我隊友的幫忙，還有感謝教練帶領我們贏球，就是這樣！」

在Harden的穿針引線之下，火箭此役團隊攻勢流暢，共傳出40次助攻，以超過5成的命中率投進22顆三分球。全隊得分最高的是Ryan Anderson拿下22分，三分球7投4中，另外二年級生Sam Dekker也拿下生涯新高19分。

國王則以Garrett Temple拿下20分表現最佳，主戰中鋒DeMarcus Cousins則輪休沒有上場。

擺脫前三戰命中率僅29％的低潮，灰熊中鋒Marc Gasol在22日出戰活塞時拿下平生涯最高紀錄的38分，率隊以98比86贏球。

談及日前的低潮，Gasol如此表示：「我知道我還是得出手投籃，並盡一切可能幫助球隊贏球。」此役Gasol共17次出手命中14球，超過8成的命中率和之前判若兩人：「我今晚感覺很好，隊友也一直為我製造機會，當你開始命中投籃時比賽就會變得很簡單。」

灰熊總教練David Fizdale並不驚訝Gasol會有觸底反彈的表現：「這支球隊不會處於低潮太久，他們都相當強悍，我只要想辦法讓他們回到比賽狀態就行了。」

灰熊此役除Gasol之外其餘球員命中率並不理想，僅有JaMychal Green得分突破雙位數，但活塞狀況更差，命中率僅36.1％，且發生多達17次失誤讓灰熊從中獲利22分。

活塞總教練Stan Van Gundy對此表示：「雖然讓Marc打出生涯表現，但我們的防守還是做得不錯，不過我們自己卻沒辦法將球投進籃框，又發生太多失誤，這是很讓人挫折的事情。」

另外「高富帥」Chandler Parsons在因膝傷缺席17場比賽後終於傷癒歸隊，此戰先發上場15分鐘，拿下2分2籃板2助攻。
